Healing starts with whole person care

Two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, Workit Health has been at the forefront of mass adoption of telemedicine care. Some of the results of this brain-first, harm reduction-based approach are fewer hospitalizations and treatment earlier in the disease cycle.

Incredible outcomes begin with accessible care

Only one-tenth of the people who need care for substance use or mental health in the United States receive it. At Workit, it’s our mission to ensure that cost never stops someone from receiving the treatment they need.

Welcome Humana and Anthem of Ohio

This year, we joined the Humana network nationally, and partnered with Anthem in Ohio to ensure that Ohioans can receive evidence-based care at the moment they’re ready.

Committed to accepting Medicaid in all 50 states

40% of Workit members are covered by Medicaid, and our continued partnerships with organizations such as drug courts, hospitals, and county governments ensures access to the underinsured and uninsured.

Over 110 million lives covered and counting

Over 236 health plans partner with Workit Health to provide substance use and mental health care to their members, driving greater access, choice, and price transparency to our health plan partners through full lifecycle detection and treatment.

Backed by NIDA and NIH

In August, the National Institute on Drug Abuse awarded Workit Health a grant to build a fully-integrated chatbot for substance use disorder. Workit was also awarded grant funding from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the National Institutes of Health to focus on interoperability improvements, making it easier for our members to receive care and for our clinicians to provide it.

Rooted in health equity

Diverse care teams are at the forefront of Workit Health’s patient-centered care. Women, people of color, and the LGBTQIA+ community are traditionally underrepresented in healthcare. Workit prides itself on its dedication to cultivating diverse care teams to ensure an inclusive member experience that builds trust between clinician and patient.

Healing starts with whole person care

Two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, Workit Health has been at the forefront of mass adoption of telemedicine care. We now treat over thirty key medical and psychiatric conditions that are comorbid with substance use, serving as a digital front door to populations that are traditionally the most difficult to reach. Some of the results of this brain-first and harm reduction-based approach are fewer hospitalizations and treatment earlier in the disease-cycle.

84% retention

84% of Workit members stay in the program longer than 30 days, compared to an industry average of 33% of patients staying in traditional treatment the first month. 41% of Workit members receive treatment for longer than one year, while also increasing quality measures related to prescribing and service utilization.

Mental health

19% of Americans are dealing with a mental illness, and the ongoing isolation and stress of the pandemic has increased risk for these commonly occurring conditions. Workit’s clinical teams utilize self-reported data to identify commonly occurring mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and ADHD earlier. We offer wraparound care, improving outcomes with care that’s available from home.

Pre- and post-natal care

The incidence of natal abstinence syndrome has increased over four-fold in the last decade. This year, Workit Health focused on reaching moms struggling with substance use. Our discreet and caring clinical teams provide supportive care that reduces rates of natal abstinence syndrome and reduces risk of relapse after childbirth.

Hepatitis C

The CDC estimates that over 1 million people, or 1% of the population, are living with hepatitis C. Our 100% virtual hepatitis C clinic cured more than 500 cases of hepatitis C with easy-to-take oral medication. Because opioid use puts people at an increased risk of hepatitis C, the Workit model of compassionate harm reduction acts as a unique entry point for the highest-risk and traditionally least adherent populations.

Primary care

Workit Health acts as a digital front door to healthcare for many of our members, who may not have a primary care provider or a high level of trust with medical practitioners in general. We offer primary care, psychiatric support, and addiction services all via the Workit app, making it simpler than ever to get healthy and stay that way. Our clinicians are able to prescribe birth control, PrEP, insomnia, and other co-occurring conditions that improve quality of life and long-term health.
